The dress is made for women who feel connected to the gypsy woman, the wild woman, the free woman, the woman who makes her own choices and walks her own path, the loving mother, the fiery woman, the woman in pain and the younger girl who will go through all of this.
The Butterfly dress is handmade from 100% cotton and the most beautiful lace, dyed in the color cream by hand, and embroidered by highly skilled artisans on Bali.
Butterflies Never Die is a gypsy inspired label designed by Monika Isa from the Netherlands, produced on the Island of Bali.
We are a community based label, we are proud supporters of slow fashion, which is why we design clothing intended to last. We hope that our vision and garments are passed on from one generation to the other. We produce in small batches to reduce any material waste and with this we aim for minimizing our environmental footprint.
All our garments are produced in Bali based ateliers. The ateliers are a safe and healthy place to work and comply with the highest standards of working conditions. The team is paid above the minimum legal wage and treated with respect and dignity at all times. We are proud and thankful to collaborate with our team who puts so much love and care in our garments.
The dress is available in four colors, black, cream, maroon and purple.

Handcrafted garments are delicate, however, designed to last when treated mindfully with love and care.
We recommend a gentle, cold water hand wash using natural detergents, and hang drying in the shade.
